Dairy Cottage nestles above the beautiful valley of the River Barle, at Draydon Farm, close to Exmoor’s iconic Tarr Steps. Light, airy and spacious, this single bedroom barn conversion has wonderful views across the valley. Red Deer are regular visitors, and the woodlands are a haven for wildlife. There are even otters in the River Barle. Carry on up the lane, and you come straight on to the open moor.

|
If you prefer watersports, you will be spoilt for choice at nearby Wimbleball Lake. There is fly fishing on the Barle, the Exe or the Lyn, or head to the coast for a spot of sea fishing. Mountain biking, climbing and canoeing are also popular. There is a wealth of art and craft activity on Exmoor, and you can enjoy world-class concerts at the Two Moors Festival. |

Dulverton, the southern gateway to Exmoor, is just two miles away. A lively town of winding, medieval streets, it is
crammed with interesting shops, galleries and inviting little cafes and pubs, and has a very good Exmoor National Park Information Centre. |
|
The cottage provides comfortable, well equipped, affordable accommodation for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you want to wander through the woods to Dulverton, meander along the river at Tarr Steps, or use the cottage as a base for walking the Two Moors Way, Dairy Cottage is great for walkers. Just to the north of the cottage, will be found the Exmoor Pony Centre, and you can trek across Exmoor on this ancient rare breed. There is also excellent riding from West Anstey Farm Stables or Cloud Farm. |
